Aftercare instructions for your memorial jewellery

General handling

  • Treat your piece as a cherished keepsake. Avoid dropping or heavy impact.

  • Keep the piece dry where possible. Remove jewellery before swimming, bathing, or heavy housework.

Cleaning

  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently polish the metal surface. A jewellery polishing cloth is ideal.

  • For more thorough cleaning, use warm water and mild, unscented soap. Rinse well and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.

  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, ultrasonic cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage delicate finishes or secure settings.

Care for pieces containing organic materials (ashes, hair, breast milk, fur)

  • Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture or extreme humidity. Store in a dry place when not worn.

  • If the piece includes a sealed compartment, do not attempt to open it. Opening may compromise the seal and the integrity of the memorial contents.

  • If you notice any loosening of fittings or deterioration of a seal, contact me immediately for assessment and repair options.

Storage

  • Store jewellery in the original presentation box or a soft pouch to prevent scratches.

  • Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources to preserve any delicate finishes.

Repairs and maintenance

  • If your piece requires repair, contact me.
